James Cameron confirmed at a surprise press event: the third Avatar film is called Avatar: The Seed Bearer. The title references the transmission of Pandoran consciousness through neural connections between Na’vi.
The leaked 30-second footage shows a new biome — a vast fungal forest — and a teenage Na’vi who accesses a restricted network and sees the coming conflict. She becomes the seed that carries everything forward.
The film runs approximately 3 hours 10 minutes, targeting December 2027 release. Production wrapped in New Zealand. The film will feature 38% more bioluminescent environments than Avatar 2.
